INTRODUCTION
-------------

This program is comfortably improving the use of the well known
MS-DOS archiver program 'ARJ' under IBM OS/2. It requires in addition
to any version of 'ARJ.EXE' Visual Rexx (VRexx).
VRexx is written by Richard B. Lam and declared as an
EMS (Employee Written Software) program.

Note:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
-------------------------
1.Copy the files 'ARJDND.CMD','ARJDND.CFG','ARJDND.ICO' and 'README.TXT'
  to somewhere convenient.
2.Create a Workplace Shell object for 'ARJDND', drag a program
object from the 'Templates' folder, and type the path and file name for
  the 'ARJDND.CMD' executable.
3.Type path to ARJDND in the entryfiled 'working directory'
4.Change settings (session) in the program notebook of 'ARJDND' :
    - start minimized (YES)
    - close window on exit (YES)

HOW TO USE
----------
For the first time:
 1. Start ARJDND by double clicking on the program icon.
 2. Choose 'Change configuration' to adjust configuration
 3. Double click on the 'Ok' button.

general use:
Use any filemanager, supporting drag and drop, or a drive-object
of OS/2 (you will find it in 'OS/2 System' -> 'Drives'); drag
the file you want to compress or decompress and drop it on the
 ARJDND-icon.
I hope, that the further steps are selfexplanitory ...

If you don't like the drag & drop function, no problem. You can also start
ARJDND from the command prompt. In this case use the filename of the
program you want to compress/decompress as parameter. Your current directory
must be the directory where the ARJDND files were placed in.

 Note:
Using drag & drop function you shouldn't paste more than one file.
Otherwise OS/2 will open one ARJDND session for each argument pasted.
